Hartfield Academy’s Dyslexia Therapists have completed their training or are currently undergoing training from an International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) accredited program, earning a Master’s of Education in Dyslexia Therapy. Our Dyslexia Therapy is an Orton-Gillingham based program that provides multi-sensory instruction through auditory, visual, and kinesthetic pathways. This program uses an alphabetic phonics method to teach the structure of the English language. Each therapist provides explicit, direct instruction that is systematic, sequential, and cumulative when teaching reading, spelling, and written expression. In order for the student to participate in Dyslexia Therapy, the student must provide professional documentation with a diagnosis of Dyslexia.
