Leslie Lee has over 30 years of experience in government in Mississippi. She holds a Juris Doctor from The University of Mississippi Law Center. She is currently the Mississippi State Public Defender and has worked in the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, The Mississippi Office of Indigent Appeals as well as the Hinds County District Attorney’s Office. She was a 2015 nominee for Woman of the Year by the Mississippi Commission on the Status of Women. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Law for Criminal Procedure at the Mississippi College School of Law. She teaches High School History at Hartfield.
