At Hartfield, we are not just preparing students for life, we are preparing them to be Christian leaders who will leave our campus and go impact the world. That means we focus on not just the academic experience of your child, but also their spiritual, emotional, and physical development.
We do this in the classroom, in chapel, on the field, and throughout our campus as we aim to engage our students in a Biblical worldview curriculum that will inspire them to uncover their purpose and prepare them to pursue it.
What does that look like day to day? For our students, it means learning under master teachers who care for the student as much as they care about the topic they are teaching. It means having access to a state-of-the-art campus where hands-on-learning is possible. It means having a dedicated time to study God’s Word and learn alongside a community of other believers.
But what does that look like in ten years? It looks like doctors, lawyers, business owners, engineers, and missionaries prepared to impact and serve their community. And that is why we do what we do, every day.
Academic Life
Our high school students learn in dynamic classrooms where teachers are prepared and encouraged to teach through the lens of the Gospel. Students are taught to question, examine, write effectively, and speak persuasively throughout all subject areas.
Our curriculum offers a broad selection of courses in every discipline, including numerous dual-enrollment courses through Belhaven University as well as several Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Last year, over 50% of our Seniors were enrolled in dual-credit classes, and many of our top students graduated with 20+ hours of college credit. The best part of this is that these classes are taught by our staff on our campus.
We believe that every student has a God-given purpose, which is why we have personalized academic tracks. If your child is excellent in Science, we will help them advance to AP Physics and that won’t prevent them from taking advanced English or American History. It is our desire to nurture your student’s strengths and weakness and our staff does that by knowing every child personally.
