After School Care

We know that after school child care programs are important to parents, which is why we offer one of the best!
Hartfield’s After School Care Program, called Hawks Nest, provides a nurturing environment for your child with on-location care available for students enrolled in K3 Full Day through 8th Grade.
 
During the summer, current Hartfield Academy students are eligible to enroll in our Summer Care Program, known as Summers Nest for students exiting K3 through 5th grade. The 5-day summer program offers students a balance of fun and structured activities.

  • What ages can attend?

    Hartfield offers After School Care for students in grades K3-8th grade.

  • How much does it cost?

    East Campus Hawks Nest (K3-1st Grade)
    • Option A: 2:20-6:00 pm, $1650/year
    • Option B: Per Day, $20/day
    Main Campus Hawks Nest (2nd-8th Grade)
    • Option C (2nd-5th): 2:40-6:00 pm, $1625/year
    • Option D (6th-8th): 3:15-6:00 pm, $1600/year
    • Option E (2nd-8th): Per Day, $20/day
    To be eligible for a spot in Hawks Nest, you must enroll during the Hawks Nest enrollment period from April 1-June 1. Hawks Nest waiting list enrollment will be available after June 1. 

  • What is the payment schedule for after care?

    There is a $50 registration fee to enroll in Hawks Nest. This fee will be billed to you through Smart Tuition and payable within 15 days of receipt of invoice.

    The monthly rate is based on a 10 month billing cycle through Smart Tution, beginning August 1st-May 1st. There is no price decrease for months with holidays or for absences from school.

  • What will my child do?

    East Campus Hawks Nest (K3-1st Grade)

    Children will be greeted each day from their classroom at 2:20 pm. Your child will be provided with an after school snack followed by supervised free play until checkout through the front office.

    Main Campus Hawks Nest (2nd-8th Grade)

    Children are divided into age groups and have an assigned leader for each group. Each day your child will be provided with an after school snack, a teacher-led homework study hall, followed by supervised free play until checkout through the front office.

  • What if I only need after school care occassionally?

    We have a per-day care option for those who only need after school care occasionally. The parent must call in advance to verify that there will be space available for the per day time requested. Per Day fees will be billed to Smart Tuition account on your next chosen draft date (the 1st or the 15th). 
     

  • Is there late pick-up?

    After care ends at 6:00 pm each day for all students. A late fee of $15 will be assessed for every 15-minute window in which the parent is late. Fees will begin to be incurred at 6:00 pm, with no exceptions.

    All late fees will be billed through Smart Tuition on your subsequent chosen draft date (the 1st or the 15th of the month). This is for emergencies and/or special circumstances beyond your control.
