Hartfield Passport to Purpose

At Hartfield Academy, we believe spiritual formation is a lifelong journey. Our mission has always been to equip students to walk closely with Christ, not just during their time at Hartfield, but throughout their entire lives. To help guide this journey, Hartfield has launched an intentional new initiative, The Passport to Purpose.

What Is the Passport to Purpose?

The Hartfield Passport to Purpose is a uniquely designed tool that serves as a personal record of each student’s spiritual growth throughout their junior high and high school years. Beginning in 7th grade, every student receives a personal journal Bible, which becomes a living testimony of God’s faithfulness in their life.
As students progress through upper school, they mark spiritual milestones, reflect on biblical truth, and document the ways God is shaping their hearts and minds. The Passport to Purpose allows students to look back on their years at Hartfield and clearly see God’s hand at work.

Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, every Upper School student in grades 7–12 will receive a beautifully bound, leather-like journal Bible to document their spiritual journey at Hartfield. This was made possible through the generous support of the Hartfield community.

How It Works:

Scripture Passages:
Each grade level will be assigned a unique color that highlights the year’s central Scripture passages. Students will journal key takeaways and reflections from these passages, allowing them to trace how God’s Word has transformed their understanding year by year.

Spiritual Milestone Timeline:
Updated annually, this section captures defining moments such as salvation, baptism, retreats, mission trips, and answered prayers. This will mark how God moves in individual lives and in the Hartfield community as a whole.

Spiritual Reflection Journaling:
At both the beginning and end of each school year, students will take time to reflect on where they are in their spiritual walk.

Grade-Level Activities:
Each grade participates in a specific, spiritually focused activity led by their Bible teacher. These experiences challenge students to dig deeper into Scripture, engage with culture from a biblical worldview, and learn to articulate their faith confidently. Each year concludes with a color-coded stamp in their Bible, unique to their grade level, along with a handwritten note from their Bible teacher affirming their growth and participation.

The Hartfield Passport to Purpose is a reflection of who we are as a school. Rooted in our vision to see every student fulfill their God-given purpose, this initiative embodies our commitment to spiritual growth and discipleship.

With each passing year, students not only deepen their relationship with Christ but also build a personal legacy of transformation; one that is distinctly marked by their time at Hartfield Academy.
