Hollywood Homecoming: A Look Into Hartfield's Homecoming Week
Hartfield’s Homecoming brings together tradition, school pride, and a refreshing break in routine, and this year’s "Hollywood Homecoming" was no exception! From our youngest K3 Hawks to the senior class, everyone jumped into the themed festivities. Each day of the week had its own spotlight: Monday was Superhero Day, Tuesday took us back with Retro Movie themes, Wednesday embraced Wild West attire, Thursday paired up with Dynamic Duos, and Friday showed off our school spirit in Hartfield colors.
Throughout the week, classrooms transformed as students and staff sported superhero costumes, cowboy hats, iconic duos, and throwback outfits, bringing excitement into each day. Daily activities like powder puff football, a large outdoor tailgate, the Masked Singer, and other afternoon events brought everyone together to enjoy the Homecoming spirit.
Friday capped it all off with the annual Homecoming parade and the big game. Adding to the celebration, alumni from the Class of 2014 were welcomed back to Hartfield for their 10-year reunion, making the weekend even more meaningful. The evening continued with a victory over Oak Forrest and the crowning of Carlysle Harkins as Homecoming Queen during halftime, marking a memorable close to a fantastic week.
A special thanks to Hartfield Administration, faculty, parent volunteers, and the Student Council for making Hollywood Homecoming a success. We’re already looking forward to next year’s celebration—Go Hawks!
